PROVIDING LIFE-SUSTAINING WATER TO COMMUNITIES AROUND THE WORLD.

EarthView, Hersha's sustainable hospitality program, has teamed up with Waterboys.org to provide water to those in need. For each purchase of one of our private label water bottles, we donate $1 to clean water projects. Our 100% recycled plastic water bottles are sold at select Hersha hotels.

Waterboys.org is an initiative by The Chris Long Foundation and supported by a team of NFL athletes with a mission to provide life-sustaining water and sanitation to communities in East Africa. Since its launch in 2015, the organization has ​supported the creation of over 115 wells, providing water to over 490,000 people.

 

 

 

Why Water Matters

 

• Water related diseases cause nearly 1 in 5 deaths of children under the age of five worldwide.

• 50% of the world's hospital beds are filled with people suffering from water-related illness.

• Bringing clean water to a community does more than quench thirst - water changes lives by strengthening education, agriculture, health, and creating a local economy.

• In Tanzania, 42% of the rural population lacks access to water and 73% lack sanitation.
